At Altia, we believe that the success of our personnel leads to the success of the company, and the other way around. We want to build a working community in which our personnel have a high level of well-being and can perform their work safely. Recognizing that each employee contributes to the atmosphere of the working community, we take pride in our relaxed company culture that allows everyone to be themselves.

Altia & Employees 2016

One of the key objectives related to personnel in 2016 was improving communications related to strategy. Communication was developed both at the company level and locally, and for example CEO Chats were launched.

Good leadership

Early 2017 we launched new Altia Behaviours to guide the work of all Altians to share the message of one Altia to everyone. The behaviours were defined together through group discussions and a virtual tool. They were named Renew Bravely, Show Direction, Build Success Together and Implement!

Leadership development was also continued in 2016; for example project management training and coaching for team leaders was arranged.

Occupational health and safety

Altia’s occupational health and safety system in Finland has been certified in accordance with the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard. Of the 52 measures defined to support the achievement of sickness absence and accident frequency targets, 73 percent were implemented in 2016.

Rewarding good performance

In 2016 Altia started the development work of its performance-based bonus scheme, which will be implemented in 2017. Compared to the previous one, the revised scheme is simpler and puts more emphasis on common business objectives. In addition to financial rewards, Altia also strives to develop other forms of incentives.
